Services
Correct the cause of your pain.
If you are a runner, we must take into account your gait, an ice skater, your core and ankle stability, a volleyball player, your ability to absorb the pressure of high velocity jumping, a horseback rider, the strength in your adductors and how they balance with their opposing muscles.
We begin by understanding what you do, evaluate your posture to ensure equal and correct balance, and create a plan with a goal.
We have dedicated our practice to keeping up with the most effective and state of the art procedures that provide significant results, which many traditional therapies cannot produce.

Holly and Steve Jonas founded Jonas Chiropractic Sports Injury Care in 2007.
The office was based on treating athletic injuries as well as many other musculoskeletal conditions.
Their combined experience of 25 years leads to the development of this practice.
They both are runners and triathletes, this gave them a great background in understanding athletic injuries.
They developed the practice to specialize in treating athletic soft tissue injuries.
In 2015 they both retired and handed the practice off to Dr. Jon DeGorter, Dr. Jon is doing a great job in caring on the roots of which Jonas Chiropractic Sports Injury Care was founded on.

Chiropractic and spinal manipulation is the foundation for musculoskeletal injuries.
Chiropractic is most commonly associated with neck, mid back and lower back pain, but it is so much more than that.
Chiropractic is used to help restore normal function to the nervous system.
The nervous system is comprised of two different systems, the central nervous system, which is the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system, which are all nerves that branch off of the spinal cord.
These nerves go to certain areas of your body like your skin, hands, feet, heart, lungs, and major organs.

Cox Technique is a hands on spinal manipulation with a specifically designed table to provide flexion-distraction to lower backs and necks.
This type of manipulation can provide decompression to necks and lower backs.
Flexion distraction is safe, effective and does not involve quick movements or loud cracks.
The cox technique is performed using a special table.
As pictured below Jonas Chiropractic has the Cox 7 table.
A simple flexion move of cox technique can increase circulation in the disc and remove the pressure off the nerve roots.
