In 1997, after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Bouma returned to his hometown to set up practice.

The reason is that our discs and joints are basically re-hydrating at night and our joints are feeling distended, since gravity and body weight are not compressing them while we are lying down horizontal.
It may take 20 minutes to an hour to feel normal.
