Dr. Snyder was Born in Toledo, Ohio, and graduated from Burnham High School. He served in the US Naval Reserves for 6 years, 2 of which was on active duty on destroyers serving as a yeoman. Upon graduation from National Chiropractic College (now called National University of Health Sciences), Dr. Snyder joined his father in practice in West Toledo.
In 1979 he started a practice in Bowling Green, eventually selling the Toledo office in 1988, ending 68 years of family chiropractic care in Toledo. Professional credits include serving in the chairs of the North West Ohio Chiropractic Association. He served as a chirpractic representative to the Northwest Ohio Health Care Planning Commission and also represented his profession for years as a District Director to the state association.
Dr. Snyder served as a co-chair of the legislative committee which produced an independent chiropractic examining board. He also served 3 years as co-chair of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association (OSCA) convention committee.
